Superhero Hockey Week

Jennie Moore friends and families once again came together to celebrate one of our students, third-grader Cooper Lake, who was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 4. Last year we celebrated his last chemo treatment with a school-wide parade. This year we joined hands with the Stingrays, and JME raised over $5500 for the Landon Strong Foundation in Cooper's honor. Students enjoyed a hockey unit in PE and were treated to a visit from some of the Stingrays Hockey players. Students wrapped up the week with a Superhero dress-up day.

Students in Ms. Ranney's class (the top money-raising class) each received 2 tickets to attend the Stingrays Superhero Night, where our very own superhero Cooper dropped the puck! These students were also part of the pre-game fan tunnel where they fist-bumped the players as they headed onto the ice for their starting lineup.

Thank you to the many families who donated to our Superhero Fundraiser!
