Join us for a fun meet & greet for our incoming kindergarteners, CD students, and all new students! Enjoy a frozen treat and fun activities while meeting other new JME students. You're sure to make some friends before school starts!
MEET THE TEACHER
Friday, August 7th (2-4:30pm)
JME Cafeteria
Parents and students will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, drop off school supplies, get answers to questions, join PTA and more.
In order to decrease the crowds inside and out, the event will be split into 3 sessions, separated alphabetically by last name:
Last Name A-H: 2:00-2:45
Last Name I-Q: 2:45-3:30
Last Name R-Z: 3:30-4:15
This is a "Drop-In" event - feel free to arrive anytime during your session.
August 11th (after drop off), JME Cafeteria
Some of us are crying, teary-eyed and blue.
Some of us are cheering, "I'm glad summer's through!"
Whatever mood you're feeling, stop by and stay awhile.
We'll be here to greet you with coffee and a smile!
Dry those tears (or let out a cheer) with other parents after morning drop off on the first day of school. Come enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin provided by our JME PTA Board in the cafeteria.
OPEN HOUSE & GENERAL PTA MEETING
September 1st (6pm), JME Cafeteria
Our first PTA Meeting and Open House will be Tuesday, September 1st at 6pm in the JME Cafeteria. Following a brief meeting in the multi-purpose room, parents will have the opportunity to attend an informational session with teachers.
We will have two 20-minute sessions, so large families may have to "divide and conquer." The event is geared towards parents, so if possible, children should not attend. However, we don't want anyone to miss so children can accompany parents if necessary!

Our goal is 100% membership-a member for every child. We encourage all parents to support! Membership does not commit you to volunteer. It is a great way to support JME, our teachers, and administration and all they do for our children, and it's only $10 per membership. CLICK HERE

Instructional fees WILL BE available soon to be paid on Revtrak. Fees will not be taken at Back to School Event, but teachers will accept cash/check after school begins.

PLANNING TO VOLUNTEER?
We are very excited to have your help as a volunteer this year. If you would like to volunteer at Jennie Moore, you must first register in Raptor. This includes chaperones for field trips, classroom volunteers, and PTA volunteers.
Please allow up to 72 hours for Raptor registration to complete.
OTHER JME NEWS
To help keep our youngest bus riders safe, CCSD requires all CD, Kindergarten, and 1st grade bus riders to use a matching bus tag system. Students will only be released to an adult (or an approved 2nd–5th grade sibling) with the matching tag number at their designated bus stop. Please see the Red Tag Sibling Permission Slip Form to approve a sibling.
Please keep your parent tag with you at pickup, as it must be shown to the bus driver. If no authorized person with the matching tag is present, the student will be returned to their home-based elementary school for parent pickup.

We had 2 special features in last year's book:
- Not only is Mrs Felder on the cover, she is hidden on every spread throughout the book. Have fun searching for her!
- Yearbook+ -- Scan the QR code on the first page then scan any portrait in the yearbook. All of the tagged pictures for that student/faculty member will be brought up. Once in the program you can search by student name or event. Have fun exploring!
