IREADY TESTING
December 2nd-9th

Our winter iReady testing is coming up! To help everyone do their best, please ensure students arrive on time, and schedule appointments after school hours.
December 2nd-4th: iReady Math
December 8th & 9th: iReady Reading
The remaining days will be available for any make up testing that is needed.
DECEMBER SPIRIT NIGHTS
December 4th (5PM-9PM): Eat a meal at SOL (dine-in and takeout) and a portion of the proceeds will go back to JME!
December 13th (3PM): Support JME by attending FAME's production of Elf Jr., The Musical. Proceeds from each ticket sold will go to our school!

HOLIDAY SPIRIT WEEK
December 15th - 19th
Get ready to celebrate the season with our Holiday Spirit Week! Each day will feature a festive theme to help spread cheer throughout our school community. We can’t wait to see the hallways filled with excitement as we wrap up the year together!
December 15th: Start the Week with your Favorite Holiday Shirt -OR- wear Red or Green
December 16th: Warm and Cozy PJ Day
December 17th: Wear your most Fancy or Crazy Holiday Attire
December 18th: Head to Toe - wear headbands, hats, and crazy socks
December 19th: UGLY Sweater Day
BOOKFAIR NEWS & INFO

December 4th-12th
Preview Days - Each class has signed up for one preview day (no buying) on December 4th or 5th before the book fair starts.
Buying Days - Each class has signed up for two buying days during the book fair. Your child's teacher will let you know if your child's buying days are Mon/Wed OR Tues/Thurs. Friday will be an open day for all shoppers who need last minute books until 10am.
*The book fair will be open after school on Tuesday (12/9) until 4:30pm.
*Please Note: If you would like to come to the book fair with your child in the morning during drop-off at 7am, you must check in with the front office and your student must be in class by 7:30 to be counted as present.
Payment Options
1. Cash, credit cards, checks made out to JME.
2. Cashless eWallet - You can set up a cashless eWallet for your child to shop with at the Book Fair by visiting the JME Book Fair Website and selecting the "Get Started" button under the eWallet section. (We strongly encourage this method!)
*Scholastic WILL be charging sales tax on all orders*
Share the Fair Program
Interested in donating money to buy books for students in need? There is an option to contribute to our Share the Fair program when setting up an eWallet account. Proceeds will go towards buying books for JME students who are unable to purchase books during the fair.
Classroom Gift Certificates
We will be offering gift certificates in any amount to give to your child's teacher for purchasing books for their classroom. Please indicate the amount desired for the gift certificate when sending in money. Checks can be made out to JME.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
BOOKFAIR VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Jennie Moore Book Fair is almost here and will need many volunteers! Sales will run from Dec 8th-12th, but decorations and setup begin December 1st. If you are available to help out anytime during these two weeks please do so with the link below:

-1- Fuel our Staff & Teachers
We’re putting together drinks and snack items for a special Staff & Teacher Appreciation event on December 16th. Sign up HERE to fuel our staff and teachers!
-2- Be a Lunchtime Hero
Help cover a lunch period for our K-5th grade students! It’s a fun way to connect with our kids and give our teachers a much-needed break. (CD classrooms will have their own volunteer opportunity later this year.) Sign up HERE to cover a lunch period.

5TH GRADE SHIRTS
Deadline Dec 4th
Shirts are available now on a PRE-ORDER basis only and will arrive in January.
The back of the t-shirt will list all 5th grade students alphabetically by class.
Shirts are white, but students will be tie-dying their shirts as a class project.
