September 1st (6pm), JME Cafeteria
Our first PTA Meeting and Open House will be Tuesday, September 1st. Following a brief meeting in the multi-purpose room, parents will have the opportunity to attend an informational session with teachers.
We will have two 20-minute sessions. Large families may have to "divide and conquer." The event is geared towards parents, but we don't want anyone to miss so children can accompany parents if necessary!

We’re thrilled for this year’s main fundraiser: our Jennie Moore Fun Run! Our fundraising goal is to raise $80,000 for Teacher support, Social Events and Campus Upgrades to benefit our students at Jennie Moore Elementary. Families will gather donations through MyBooster.com by simply sharing your student’s page with friends and family. Students will enjoy 'Global Kitchen Club,' an exciting character-building adventure where they'll learn important values through recipes and activities popular around the world.

SPIRIT NIGHT - CHICK-FIL-A
September 8th (4 - 7PM)
Join us at North Mt Pleasant Chick-Fil-A for the first Spirit Night of the year!
Place a mobile order on the Chick-Fil-A App using the Community Care code Jme26 and 20% of your order will be donated to the school!
Or inform an order taker you’re there for Spirit Night and 10% of your order will be donated back!
September 13th (2 - 4PM), JME Cafeteria
Mark your calendars for JME's annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, September 13 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the cafeteria. Enjoy ice cream served by JME teachers. Activities include face painting, games and fun with school friends! This event is free for all JME families, and allergy-safe treats will also be provided.
DOT DAY
September 15th
JME will be celebrating International Dot Day on Tuesday, September 15th. We are encouraging all students to wear dots to school that day to celebrate.

Our JME staff deserves to be celebrated all year long! Each month, the PTA provides meals to show our staff just how much we appreciate everything they do.
There are several easy ways you can help us keep the appreciation going throughout the year:
1. Donate Drinks & Desserts. Our monthly SignUpGenius will be updated with the drinks, desserts, and other goodies needed for upcoming staff appreciation events. View the monthly Drinks & Desserts signup HERE.

NURSE'S CLINIC CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED
Our nurses’ clinic is in need of gently used shorts and pants in sizes 7 and up to keep on hand for students who may need a change of clothes during the school day. If you have any items your children have outgrown, we would greatly appreciate the donation!
Donations can be dropped off at the front office. Thank you for helping us keep our clinic stocked and ready for our students!
Deadline September 11th
A form to join the Birthday Book Club was sent home in your child's Wednesday folder last week. What a great way to celebrate your child's birthday by donating a book in their honor! If you are interested in participating, the deadline is September 11th. Sign up HERE or through Revtrak.
