September 13th (2 - 4PM), JME Cafeteria

Mark your calendars for JME's annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, September 13 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the cafeteria. Enjoy ice cream served by JME teachers. Activities include face painting, games and fun with school friends! This event is free for all JME families, and allergy-safe treats will also be provided. 

 

Scoop up something sweet-and maybe some new-to-you JME spirit wear, too!

Have JME spirit wear your child has outgrown? Bring it to the Ice Cream Social! 

 

The JME PTA will have Spirit Wear Swap boxes organized by size 

GIVE — Donate gently worn JME spirit wear that no longer fits.

TAKE — Find something in your size (or your child’s!) and take it home for FREE!

No need to donate something in order to take something — this is simply a fun way to pass along JME gear, keep it in our school community, and make sure it gets plenty more wear.

A little ice cream, a little swapping, and a whole lot of JME spirit!

DOT DAY

September 15th

JME will be celebrating International Dot Day on Tuesday, September 15th. We are encouraging all students to wear dots to school that day to celebrate.

Dot Day is based on Peter H. Reynolds' book, The Dot. Dot Day is a fun day that is celebrated internationally each year to encourage students to express themselves by making their own mark and seeing where it takes them. It's all about celebrating creativity, courage, and collaboration.

All JME students are invited to participate in creating a safety flyer to help share how we can follow the Big 3 and Be Safe at JME!

Directions:
1. Choose a safety zone (classroom, bus, lunch room, playground, hallways).
2. Create a flyer using the form below to promote safety rules in your chosen zone.
3. Turn in your safety project to your teacher by 9/25/26.
4. Projects will be displayed on JME bulletin boards.

5.  All participants can complete the safety project participant on their Butterfly Bag Tag tracker on the back of their purple Wednesday folders. (Parents, please sign to acknowledge completion.)

Our JME staff deserves to be celebrated all year long! Each month, the PTA provides meals to show our staff just how much we appreciate everything they do.

There are several easy ways you can help us keep the appreciation going throughout the year:

NURSE'S CLINIC CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED

Our nurses’ clinic is in need of gently used shorts and pants in sizes 7 and up to keep on hand for students who may need a change of clothes during the school day. If you have any items your children have outgrown, we would greatly appreciate the donation!

Donations can be dropped off at the front office. Thank you for helping us keep our clinic stocked and ready for our students!
