Walk To School Day

It was a beautiful morning for our annual Walk to School Day! Our School Improvement Council at JME with help from the Mount Pleasant Police Department and Safe Routes to School hosted the Walk to School event in accordance with SCDOT's Safe Routes to School which assists schools and communities in the planning, development, and implementation of projects and activities that will improve safety and reduce traffic, fuel consumption, and air pollution in the vicinity of schools while promoting a healthy lifestyle for children and their parents.

We had almost 100 students participate and get their bodies moving before class started. What a great way to start the day!
